Call for Nominations for the 2025 Board of Directors Election

In accordance with CAPhO’s bylaws, the Board of Directors’ election for director positions will be held electronically prior to the Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the duration of two weeks in February 2025.

The AGM takes place on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 14:45 PST at the Victoria Conference Centre, during the joint International Society of Oncology Pharmacy Practitioners and the Canadian Association of Pharmacy Oncology Symposium.

CAPhO is seeking candidates for five (5) director positions. One position is a one-year term, and the other four are three-year terms. The incoming directors will be appointed after the election by the Board to the vacant positions of Awards Committee Chair, Communications Committee Chair, Director at Large (one year and three-year term), and Education Committee Pharmacist Fundamental Chair.

All directors are expected to lead a committee, as determined by the Board following the election, except the director(s) in the Director at Large position(s) who are expected to join a minimum of one committee. If none of the committees are of interest, it is requested not to put your name forward for election.

Nominations must be submitted online, and self-nominations are encouraged. Only Pharmacist and Pharmacy Technician/Assistant members are entitled to self-nominate or be nominated. Further basic rules are set out in the bylaws.

The deadline to submit nominations is Wednesday, January 22, 2025, and the following items are required to submit your nomination:

  • Personal statement that describes your interest in serving on the Board of Directors (this will be included in the information provided to the members during the election if you are chosen for the slate)
  • Up-to-date copy of your curriculum vitae / resume
  • Headshot photograph (portrait, color, min. 200 KB, .jpg or .png format)
  • Indication by ranking of which position you would like to fill

Note: Please ensure that your current photo and bio are up to date on your CAPhO Profile. To check and update your profile, login to the CAPhO website and click on the Member Centre in the light blue bar at the top right corner on the CAPhO website to go into your membership record. Click the "Sign in" button in the menu on the left side of your screen. Enter the login credentials you use to access the CAPhO website and then click "Member Record" from the menu on the left of your screen. From here you can update all your member information including your bio and photo.
