About Saskatoon

Saskatoon, the largest city in Saskatchewan, is a dynamic hub on the South Saskatchewan River known for its vibrant arts scene, prairie hospitality and beautiful riverfront trails. With a growing culinary culture and walkable downtown, it offers a welcoming and inspiring setting for the CAPhO Conference.

Getting to Saskatoon and the TCU Place
Saskatoon is easy to reach by air, train or bus – and once you arrive, getting to TCU Place is simple. Located in the heart of downtown Saskatoon, the venue is steps away from hotels, restaurants and shops, making it a convenient and walkable destination.
By Air
Saskatoon is served by Saskatoon International Airport (YXE), located 8km northwest of downtown.
- Taxi / rideshare: available directly outside the terminal, with a travel time of approximately 15-20 minutes to TCU Place.
- Public Transit: Take Route 11 – City Centre from the Airport Station (a 3-minute walk from the terminal). Disembark at 23rd Street & 2nd Avenue, an 8-minute walk to TCU Place. The bus runs hourly and the full trip takes about 50 minutes.
By Train
VIA Rail’s The Canadian makes a scheduled stop at Saskatoon Station (1701 Chappell Drive), about 8.5 km southwest of downtown.
- Taxi / rideshare: available from the station, with an approximate 20-minute ride to TCU Place.
- Public Transit: Walk 15 minutes to the Haida/Ortona bus stop, then take Route 9 – City Centre via Riversdale. Get off at 19th Street & 2nd Avenue and walk 10 minutes to TCU Place. The trip takes approximately 45 minutes.
By Bus
Intercity buses, such as Rider Express, arrive at the downtown terminal at 23rd Street & 2nd Avenue. From there, TCU Place is just a 2-minute walk.
By Car
