The Canadian Association of Pharmacy in Oncology (CAPhO) is pleased to provide access to accredited and non-accredited online education programs that are directly related to the work of oncology pharmacists, technicians and pharmacy assistants.

Education Opportunities

CAPhO is dedicated to the development of educational materials to support and enhance education and training for all oncology pharmacy practitioners, which, in addition to the annual Conference, includes: 

  • CAPhO's Career Mentorship Program connects pharmacy students, trainees and early-career professionals with experienced oncology pharmacy leaders through one-to-one mentorship, supporting career development, professional growth and networking opportunities.
     
  • CAPhO Competencies for Oncology Pharmacists in Canada, in both English and French, provides oncology pharmacists in Canada with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required to enhance the profession and future of cancer care within Canada.
     
  • The Oncology Essentials Series, online education comprised of Safe Handling of Hazardous Drugs and Oncology Basics. 
     
  • Oncology Fundamentals Day offers those new to oncology pharmacy an online, accredited, full day interactive conference environment. 
     
  • CAPhO Connections Podcast features conversations with oncology pharmacy experts and leaders, providing insights on current issues, professional development and topics impacting oncology pharmacy practice in Canada.
     
  • The CAPhO Education Webinar Series presents one-hour online sessions on timely topics all year round.
     
  • CAPhO's In-Person Workshops are designed to be interactive, engaging, and focused on practical topics impacting oncology pharmacy practice. Offered in conjunction with the annual Conference, Clinical, Technical and Leadership workshops provide accredited learning opportunities and hands-on professional development.
     
  • CAPhO’s Virtual Workshops are designed to be interactive, engaging, and focused on relevant topics impacting oncology pharmacy practice, and are not recorded. Virtual Workshop are available for CAPhO members only.
