Sarah Zorzit
Sarah Zorzit is a clinical pharmacist at the Algoma District Cancer Program (ADCP) in northern Ontario and the Designated Manager of the iCcare Pharmacy, Sault Area Hospital’s retail pharmacy. Sarah opened the hospital owned retail pharmacy in 2017, which offers specialized clinical services such as oral anti-cancer drug and supportive care verification, dispensing and patient education.
Sarah also started a pharmacist-led adult vaccine clinic and research initiative, providing patients with their immunizations prior to starting cancer therapy. Cancer patients are at increased risk of vaccine-preventable illnesses and this program helps patients access adult vaccines in our community.
Sarah is a member of the Canadian Association of Pharmacy in Oncology (CAPhO), sits on the CAPhO Advocacy Committee, and is an injection trainer with Pharmachieve.
Sarah has been a speaker and panellist for Addressing the Basics in Cancer (ABC), a pharmacist education program in Oncology since 2022 and is a clinical preceptor for the University of Waterloo school of pharmacy.
