The Canadian Association of Pharmacy in Oncology (CAPhO) offers a wide variety of awards to recognize members’ achievements in the field of oncology pharmacy.

CAPhO Competencies Award (2025 Only)

In 2024, CAPhO released its Competencies for Oncology Pharmacists in Canada. The competencies describe the knowledge, skills and attitudes required by oncology pharmacists in Canada and are broken into five pillars. In celebration of its release, CAPhO is proud to announce a one-time award available to pharmacists who demonstrate how they apply the competencies into their daily practice.

Honourary Life Membership

The Honourary Life Membership is no longer awarded given incorporation and CAPhO’s current awards program. It was granted to CAPhO members to recognize outstanding, long-term (>20 years) career contributions related to the profession of oncology pharmacy and to CAPhO. Members who received Honourary Life Memberships prior to incorporation in 2017 are: Lauren (Flay) Charbonneau, Roxanne Dobish, Edgar Goldstein (deceased), Hollis Lee Gordon, Janice Kolbinson, Betty Riddell (deceased) and Susan Walisser.
