Graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy form the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Montreal in 1991; Hospital Pharmacy Diploma form the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Montreal in 1992. Working as a pharmacist since 1992 at the McGill University Health Center at The Royal Victoria Hospital and Cedars Cancer Center. Working as a pharmacist at the ambulatory oncology clinic since 1994. Working as a pharmacist on inpatient hematology-oncology and Stem-cell transplant unit from 1994 until 2015. President of The Regroupement des pharmaciens ayant un intérêt en oncologie (RPO) de l’APESQ (Association des Pharmaciens en Établissement de Santé du Québec) 2002-2005. President of CAPHO (Canadian Association of Pharmacy in Oncology) 2006-2007. Recipient of the CAPhO Distinguished Service Award in 2013.

Cancer during pregnancy is a devastating situation for the patient. The dilemma is when and how to optimally treat the cancer while balancing the patient’s and the baby’s safety. This presentation will discuss the optimal use of chemotherapy and also newer therapies to treat the pregnant cancer patient. The treatment of breast cancer in a pregnant patient will be used as a model for applying treatment decision principles and best practice recommendations. Case presentations will consolidate the theory presented and the principles and recommendations on how best to manage these patients.
