CAPhO Conference 2018 Welcome Message

On behalf of the 2018 Planning Committee, I invite you to attend the Canadian Association of Pharmacy in Oncology (CAPhO) Conference from May 3 to 6, 2018 in the National Capital Region of Ottawa, Ontario.

We are fortunate to have a wonderful venue next to downtown Ottawa. The Hilton Lac-Leamy is located across the bridge in Gatineau, Quebec. In between sessions, take time to explore the streets of Ottawa’s Byward Market, jog around Lac-Leamy or stroll the grounds of Parliament Hill.

The Conference program is developed around the theme “Better Together”. Successful and optimal cancer care is complex. Every person with a diagnosis of cancer should meet an oncology pharmacist during their care, and benefit from the expertise of a specialized pharmacy team. We provide comprehensive medication services and counseling to ensure treatment accuracy and efficacy that is specific to each patient. #CAPhOCon18 will illustrate how oncology pharmacists and pharmacy technicians can incorporate and refine practices that make us “Better Together”.

The Conference will strive to provide insight and education through keynote speakers, small group discussions and presentations that share experience and expertise and will be a great opportunity for you to strengthen connections with your peers.

We look forward to welcoming you to Ottawa next spring!
