You are invited to participate in a research study conducted by Dr. Thomas McFarlane (PharmD) and Dr. Mira Maximos (PharmD) from the University of Waterloo. The purpose of this study is to gain a better understanding of the febrile neutropenia treatment protocols used across Canada for adult patients receiving chemotherapy for solid organ cancers since the most recent guidelines for treatment have not been revised in the last few years. IDSA, ESMO, and NCCN guidelines were last updated in 2010, 2016, and 2017, respectively.
This study aims to identify the discrepancies that may exist with regards to treating febrile neutropenia in academic or tertiary institutions across Canada secondary to the paucity of updated available guidelines.
The survey will take approximately 10 minutes.
