The Competencies provide guidance for optimal practice of oncology pharmacists with considerations of the unique aspects of anticancer pharmacotherapy, supportive care pharmacotherapy, and the distinctive medication-related care needs of persons with cancer.

By the end of the presentation, participants will be able to:
- Describe the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required by oncology pharmacists in Canada.
- Explain the purpose of The Competencies and identify at least two examples of how they can be used to advance oncology pharmacy practice.
- Develop a plan for how to incorporate The Competencies into their own practice to improve the care of individuals affected by cancer.
