Volunteer Opportunity - Membership Committee Chair Position

After four successful years on the CAPhO Membership Committee, Roxanne Dobish will be leaving her position as Membership Committee Chair in April.

"It has been a great opportunity and privilege to serve on the Executive of CAPhO as Chair of the Membership Committee. CAPhO is an association run by its members and my experience has been that our members demonstrate a sincere passion for the field of oncology pharmacy. I would encourage all members to consider getting more involved. We all have the opportunity to help shape the future of our association!"

If you are interested, or if you kn ow of someone who may be interested in the Membership Committee Chair position, let us know before Monday, February 22, 2016.

Some of the responsibilities of the Chair include:

  • developing, promoting and building the value of membership in CAPhO
  • attending all meetings of the Executive Committee and the Annual General Meeting
  • submitting an annual budget to the Treasurer
  • chairing the Membership Committee meetings

You can review more information on the Chair position in the CAPhO bylaws.

The term will officially begin on Saturday, April 16 at the CAPhO AGM at the CAPhO Conference in Niagara Falls. To allow a smooth transition, we would like the new Membership Committee Chair to be in place at least one month prior to the CAPhO Conference.

Your association is embarking on several exciting initiatives – education modules are in development, membership is expanding and CAPhO is collaborating with other associations and organizations. It’s the perfect time to step up to join the Executive and help lead this fabulous association.

If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, or if you would like to put forward the name of another member who may be interested, please contact me via email at pastpresident @ capho.org.

Sincerely,
Jennifer Jupp, Past President
