Volunteer Opportunity - Communications Committee Chair Position

After six successful years on the CAPhO Communications Committee, Christopher Ralph will be leaving his position as Communications Committee Chair in April.

"My experience with CAPhO has been beyond rewarding with the connections with fellow passionate oncology pharmacy practitioners I have made, the knowledge I have accumulated, and the projects I have seen come to fruition. Working and connecting with like-minded CAPhO members ignites and renews one’s enthusiasm for our profession.  I like to think that I have given a lot of myself to the worthwhile cause of what CAPhO embodies, while my experience on the executive has given me back exponentially more. I will explore avenues where I can continue to contribute to the further evolvement of CAPhO."

Let us know before Monday, February 22, 2016 if you are interested, or if you know of someone who may be interested in the Communications Committee Chair position.

Some of the responsibilities of the Chair include:

  • overseeing the marketing and promotion of CAPhO and its activities (including the enewsletter, social media and the website)
  • attending all meetings of the Executive Committee and the Annual General Meeting
  • submitting an annual budget to the Treasurer
  • chairing the Communications Committee meetings

You can review more information on the Chair position in the CAPhO bylaws.

The term will officially begin on Saturday, April 16 at the CAPhO AGM at the CAPhO Conference in Niagara Falls. To allow a smooth transition, we would like the new Communications Committee Chair to be in place at least one month prior to the CAPhO Conference.

Your association is embarking on several exciting initiatives – education modules are in development, membership is expanding and CAPhO is collaborating with other associations and organizations. It’s the perfect time to step up to join the Executive and help lead this fabulous association.

If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, or if you would like to put forward the name of another member who may be interested, please contact me via email at pastpresident @ capho.org.
