FCAPhO Recipient 2016 - Larry Broadfield

Larry Broadfield FCAPhOI have been an oncology pharmacist for over 30 years.  In this time, I have founded, or help found both CAPhO and ISOPP, as well as chairing several NOPS meetings and one ISOPP Symposium. I remain active with CAPhO, working on different task groups over the years (e.g. Standards, Education, Undergraduate Education).

In my professional career, I have both managed the operations of a major cancer center pharmacy department, and the clinical program of another major pharmacy dep't. I am active in research as both an investigator and REB co-Chair.  I have had the opportunity to mentor many students and taught oncology basics to undergrads at Dalhousie University for 15 years.

Levels of activity have waxed and waned over the years, as other personal, health and work commitments have impacted available time.  Recognition as a Fellow would validate a long career in most aspects of oncology pharmacy which continues to expand in new directions.
