Update: Oncology Basics

Initially released in 2011, Oncology Basics has just been updated to ensure you are receiving the most recent and relevant oncology pharmacy resources.

Oncology pharmacists, technicians and pharmacy assistants look to the Canadian Association of Pharmacy in Oncology (CAPhO) as a key source of professional education and resources.

CAPhO members are continually updating the Practice Resources with free online courses, guides and links to important research so that members can stay at the forefront of their field.

CAPhO members are dedicated to the development of educational materials to support and enhance education and training for all oncology pharmacy practitioners. Oncology Basics, initially released in 2011, has been updated to ensure you are receiving the most recent and relevant oncology pharmacy resources. CAPhO also endorsed ONTarget, a guide designed to help you confidently assess and manage the common side effects that targeted cancer therapies may induce in patients with cancer.

Also free for members is the CAPhO Education webinar series. In one hour, keep up to date on timely topics that matter to you in the field of oncology pharmacy. Log in to the CAPhO website as a member to find out when the next webinar takes place and/or to listen to past webinars. Interested in presenting a webinar?  Submit your proposal. Not a member? The Oncology Pharmacy Resource Library and Links contain recommended print materials and links to relevant websites. Members can also access presentations on clinical research and oncology pharmacy practice from previous CAPhO Conferences, formerly known as the National Oncology Pharmacy Symposium (NOPS).
